Our 4th grade IB World Learners took on the project of Raku Pottery with the help of a local potter, Andrew Linton, last week. Raku is a traditional Japanese firing method which causes crackling to the surface of the piece of pottery and dates back to the 1550s. Students rolled out slabs of clay, molded them into vases, glazed them,& then fired them into their pieces of art. They will be on display in the Cotswold Media Center. A special thanks to @potterycent for helping our students create their masterpieces! https://www.potterycentral.com/about
