Ms. Wagner (Billingsville Campus- First Grade)– Ms. Wagner has created a learning environment where all students can participate and excel. My student comes home with a nugget of learning to share each day. She is patient and energetic, a perfect combination for a spirited first grade classroom. We are so grateful for Ms. Wagner.
Ms. Kurtz (Cotswold Campus- Exceptional Children)– Andrea has gone above and beyond to help with my transition of being a teacher and being at a new school. She is always willing to help and provides superb support to me daily. She has been an exceptional mentor.
Mathapalooza 2024!
Twelve of our 3rd grade BCE Cougars participated in Mathapalooza on Saturday at West Charlotte High School. 25 schools, totaling 500 3rd graders were in attendance.
We are beyond proud of all participants who exhibited many IB traits by being risk takers, knowledgeable, thinkers, open minded, communicators and inquirers!

Join Us for Our Cougar Basketball Team’s Next Home Game Thursday
The Cougar Basketball Team is on a roll, beating Governor’s Village STEM Academy on the road last Tuesday. Join us for our last two regular season home games on Thursday, February 1 at 4:30pm, against Shamrock Gardens and Thursday, February 15 at 5pm, against Governor’s Village. Home games take place in the Cotswold Gym.
BCE named a 2024 School of Distinction
Our school has been named a National Merit School of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America. BCE was judged by a panel of educators on our ability to raise student academic achievement, promote racial and socioeconomic diversity, provide integrated curricula and instruction, and create strong family and community partnerships that enhance our school’s IB theme. Congrats to Principal Hash, Magnet Coordinator Ms. Pointer and the entire BCE community on this well deserved accomplishment!
