Our 2nd graders had an amazing visit with Charlotte-based author, Tameka Fryer Brown. Ms. Brown shared her journey to becoming an author, read her new book, “Not Done Yet: Shirley Chisholm’s Fight for Change,” and taught students about the book publishing process. Our very own IB Coordinator, Ms. Pointer, also joined in the fun helping Ms. Brown perform her book, “Twelve Dinging Doorbells.” Thank you, Ms. Brown for sharing your time, talents, and inspiring our students!
