It’s Giving Tuesday and the final day of our fall fundraising campaign. If you have not yet had the opportunity to donate to Pledge for Paws, please consider giving today! The top three grades with the highest donor participation will receive a prize! The third grade classes are leading the pack with 31.4% participation, followed by first grade at 29.5% and Kindergarten 29.1%. Thank you to all donors who have supported our campaign!

BCE’s fall fundraising campaign, Pledge for Paws, has raised more than $25,000 – thank you! The top three grades with the highest donor participation on Giving Tuesday (Nov. 29) will earn a prize (first place: extra recess; second place: pajama day; third place: a sweet treat). Donate today!
The PTA ensures a thriving community for students, teachers and staff. Hear from 3rd grade teacher Mr. McBride on what it means to him:
“The best part of BCE is how bonded the school and community are. Our wonderful PTA is the keystone to that connection. In my almost 10 years teaching at BCE, I have seen all the wonderful hard work and dedication parents have given to help our students and school. The incredible afterschool events that are planned, funded, and hosted have made so many great memories for our children and community. The volunteer work the PTA does in school and in our classrooms enriches the students’ school experience. The teachers and staff are eternally grateful for the communication and support we get within the classroom and through training opportunities that help us be more effective at our job. Our PTA hast truly made a huge impact to our school and made BCE an excellent place to be!”
BCE is collecting uniform donations. Our school is in need of gently used and new uniforms to support all of our students. Accepted items include (in navy, baby blue, khaki ,or white): collared shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, pants, skirts, and shorts. We are in great need of larger sizes (16-18 or 20 for girls and boys). Drop off your donations at the Cotswold campus between 7am-3pm. Thank you all for your generosity.
Each month we have the opportunity to recognize two staff members for their excellent performance. October submissions are due by THIS Wednesday, October 26. This is a great way to show your appreciation for our dedicated team and to showcase the incredible work they are doing! Nominations are accepted from anyone within the BCE community. Please use the Google form or email BCEnominations@gmail.com to share why you are nominating a teacher or staff member. The winners receive a gift card to our community partner, The Butler’s Pantry, as well as to their favorite store.
Our next campus beautification day is Wednesday, October 26! Please join us on this Early Release Day at 12:00 pm to plant trees on the Cotswold Campus. We will be planting 4 fruit trees and a dozen smaller shrubs & herbs to create a mini food forest and need all the help we can get! Sign up and join us in ParentSquare.
