Awards and Recognition

Nurse Susan (Billingsville campus nurse): Known by the students as “Dr. Love”…this name truly fits Nurse Susan. She not only takes care of our students’ (and staff members’) physical needs but everyone’s emotional needs as well. She is always smiling, is always positive, and always has a kind word or positive statement for EVERYONE! She was a plethora of wisdom while we were in the middle of the pandemic, and we don’t know how BCE would have understood what was going on with COVID-19 had it not been for her knowledge. 

Mr. McBride (Third Grade Teacher): Mr. McBride makes his students feel so special and gives them a love for school and learning. He truly cares about his students and has this special way of making learning fun yet challenging them to continue growing in their education. His positive energy is contagious and has definitely made a difference for this school year. Our family can’t thank Mr. McBride enough for the support, encouragement and love for learning he has given our kids this school year! He is truly one-of-a-kind and so deserving of this award!

Let’s start this new year by recognizing our awesome teachers and staff! We are now accepting nominations for monthly employee recognition on both campuses. If there is a teacher or adjunct team member who deserves to be celebrated for excellent performance, please submit their name & grade level or title to BCEnominations@gmail.com or use the google form to submit your nomination. We ask that December nominations be submitted no later than Wednesday, January 4th. Nominations are welcome from anyone in the BCE community.

Ms. Wagner (First Grade Teacher): “Ms. Wagner is new to our school but she is such a friendly face it seems like she has been here forever. She keeps her students engaged and happy. She is also communicative with parents” and “Ms. Wager has inspired my daughter to read aloud, which she rarely wanted to do before. Our family is grateful for Ms. Wagner!”  
Ms. Perrett (5th Grade Teacher): “Ms. Perrett has been a wonderful addition to our school. She has high expectations for student achievement and demonstrates the classroom management and content knowledge of a veteran teacher. She is an advocate for her students and uses her background in lacrosse to introduce the sport to students beyond her class through coaching Elementary and Middle School programs. We are fortunate to have her at Cotswold!”

Ms. Soto, 5th Grade Teacher: “Sara Soto truly deserves to be Staff Member of the Month on the Cotswold Campus! She is very knowledgeable about content areas that she teaches (literacy, social studies, math and science) and has great control of her classroom. She is extremely kind and very sweet when redirecting her students.”
